The Magdalena Bay Marlin Run is often compared to South Africa's famous Sardine Run.
Huge schools of sardines attract some of the ocean's fastest predators, creating spectacular underwater encounters.
Unlike an aquarium or controlled environment, every interaction is completely wild, making each trip unique.

Expect breathtaking moments as striped marlin dart through bait balls while dolphins and sea lions join the hunt.
Every minute on the water offers a new surprise.

During the tour, we may also encounter dolphins, sea lions, sharks, marlin, and occasionally whales. Some of these encounters are rare and depend completely on nature, season, luck, and ocean conditions.
​Entering the water always depends on the animal’s behavior, visibility, currents, safety, and the guide’s decision. Sometimes the most responsible and beautiful experience is to watch from the boat.

Marine wildlife encounters are never guaranteed. This is the ocean, and every day is different.
We may see several species in one tour, or we may spend hours searching with fewer sightings. Some guests are lucky enough to encounter dolphins, marlin, se lions and even whales in a single day.

For this reason, we always recommend booking with an open mind and an adventurous spirit. The Ocean Safari is about exploring the wild marine world of Mag Bay, not about forcing an encounter.

How is the tour step by step
1. Departure at 5:00am from Los Barriles or at 6:00am from La Paz 2. 3-4 hours driving to Puerto Chale 3. Get ready with your gear to jump in the water to see marlins and any other marine animal we find! 4. Lunch time 5. We come back at around 8:00 pm

You need to...
-Be  able to swim and feel comfortable in the water -Bring swimwear, eco-friendly sunscreen lotion, hat, sunglasses, towel, confortable clothes and shoes, and cash for tips.

1. What do I need to bring on the tour? Swimsuit, towel, eco-friendly sunscreen, comfortable clothes, a sweatshirt, hat, and great attitude! if you want to bring your own snack and drinks you can do that too. ​ 2. How is the payment made? You can save your spot with your name, and once we have te minimum (4 people), we will contact you to confirm your spot with 100% of your payment. ​ 3. What happens if the tour is cancelled? If the tour is cancelled by us we will refund the total amount paid, cancellations will be made in case of bad weather and we will notify you as soon as possible. In case you cancel for any reason, we will not be able to refund your money. ​ 4. What is the minimum age for this tour? The minimum age for this tour is 13 years old. ​ 5, Is it necessary to know how to swim for this tour? Yes, it is necessary to know how to swim since we will be in the water all the time, and although we have life jackets, you need to have experience to enjoy the tour. ​ 6. Can passengers such as small children, elderly people or other people who do not want to enter the water go on the boat? No, this is a long tour where we will be in the water all the time and it is definitely not recommended for people who do not want or are not able to go in the water. ​ 7. Can I bring my own cooler with beer, snacks etc? Yes, it is possible, but please try not to take up too much space since the boat is a panga. ​ 8. How many people are in each group on this tour? A maximum of 6
